About the Event
Bran Sanders is a folk singer based in Westbank, British Columbia. He called small town Ontario home before taking to a semi-nomadic lifestyle. It was the freedom of travelling that led him to be curious about what it meant to be human, which led him to relating to folk music in a deeper way then he had before. Bran found himself connecting with the raw, honest study of what it means to be human written in folk songs. His lyrics focus on the ambiguous, the complicated, and the intimidating elements of human condition. Bran combines curiosity with experience and shares it in a gentle, captivating way.
Victoria to Toronto and in-between, Bran has sung his songs wherever people will listen: concert halls, outdoor concerts, house concerts, markets, coffee shops. Notably and recently played Music in the Park (Westbank, BC) and was a finalist in the Okanagan Singer-Songwriter Competition. An EP in the works set to release early 2020, a tour in spring 2020 and so much more will give you plenty of opportunities to hear him.
Whether it be the songs of the past or his own, you’ll surely see some of yourself in his stories.
