About the Event
Duelling Pianos
Duelling piano-style rock & roll crowd classics
feat. Elton John, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis & More!
Duelling Pianos are two of Canada’s finest entertainers, Tom Arntzen and Diane Lines
Putting their own unique spin on audience favourites, these two take the Duelling Piano concept to a whole new level. They love the simple, classic sound of two pianos going at it and dish out plenty of it to fans of piano greats such as Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel and Elton John!
All of this combined with great singing, a massive request repertoire (just try to stump them) and a heavy dose of audience interaction plus two fearless performers willing to try just about ANYTHING in the name of fun, make them a great booking for any event.
Duelling Pianos are:
Tom Arntzen
As an established artist in Vancouver, Tom wears many hats; vocalist, keyboardist, composer, arranger, producer, musical director and actor. He can play any musical style, including those not yet invented! He was music leader for the 2013 and 2014 Grey Cup Gala. He has accompanied Jack Jones at River Rock Show and was vocal coach to Will Ferrell in the movie "Elf".
Diane Lines
Diane was the pianist/accompanist for Grammy winner Michael Bublé for two years and was featured with the Dal Richards Orchestra from 2003 to 2016. She has performed with a variety of artists including: Alfie Zappacosta, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Marian McPartland, Dee Daniels, Jim Byrnes, "Blues Boss" Kenny Wayne, Gospel great John Boutte, Bria Skonberg, Linda Tillery, Amanda Wood and Shari Ulrich.
Diane recorded and toured in Canada with Juno Award winning singer/songwriter Gary Fjellgaard and appears on Gary’s CDs Under Western Skies and The Best of Gary Fjellgaard. Diane’s work with Fjellgaard earned her consecutive nominations for BCCMA’s Keyboardist of the Year.
Since 2011, Diane and her cast of stellar musicians have been touring with her signature show "Diane Lines’ JUMP! A Celebration of Swing, Boogie and Blues", with performances in Switzerland, Washington, Oregon, Florida, Idaho, Las Vegas and in various venues, theatres and festivals throughout British Columbia. She has also performed throughout the United States as keyboardist and vocalist with Mac Frampton’s Hollywood Hills Orchestra.
